When I graduated with my teaching degree, I began my educational career as a para for USD 257.  I worked as the computer lab para for 3 years at Jefferson Elementary.  I began my teaching career at Lincoln Elementary School in 1997 as a Title 1 teacher then switched to first grade the following year.  I’ve been teaching first grade in USD 257 ever since.   When I began my career, my goal was to begin and end my career with USD 257.  

My husband, Brian, and I met in high school and got married in 1990.  We have 2 adult sons, Matt and Ryan Thompson and one grandchild, Hadley Thompson.  Nothing is more important than family!  

I am a huge animal and nature lover.  Living in the country gives me the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and watch wildlife with our grandchild.
